Bruges is the Belgian city located in the northwest of the country. Its history goes back to the Middle Ages. Bruges was a member of the Hanseatic League (trade union), it was a rich trade and financial center of the Europe. The old town of Bruges has been put on the Unesco World Heritage Site listing.
